Currently we are having SAP PI 7.31 SP07 Dual stack system. My questions as below,
1. Can we upgrade our current system to SAP PO (Java Only)..?
2. What would be the latest version of SAP PO to which we can upgrade our current system?
3. Is there any documentation, links available for step by step upgrade steps?

i'm planning to upgrade our PI7.1 to PO 7.4 single stack. Are there any experiences about the usage of the content migration tool?
Currently i've identified the rfc adapter, the ccBPMs and the http connections as a manual todo.
Can someone having been used the migration tool please share some of his/her experiences, espically traps and problems?

We have composed a service using service composer DC by consuming PI soap interfaces.(SAP NW 7.4 SP07)
Composed Webservice works perfectly fine for some time then it throws folowing error when tested from wsnavigator -
any idea what could be the problem??

Hi Experts,
I am working on CE 7.3 SP11.
I have designed 2 bpm processes, Parent and Child.
Parent process will invoke the child process from an Automated Activity by passing It's "ProcessID" and will be waiting @ Intermediate Message Event until the child process is complete.
Child process will trigger the Intermediate Message Event by passing the "ProcessID" it received from parent, just before the End event.
@Parent process the co-orelation condition add is "String-equals(ParentContext/ProcessID,ChildProcess/ProcessID)", So If both the ProcessID are same then the Parent Process will resume the flow.
Unfortunately this condition is not getting evaluated and the Parent process is waiting at Intermediate Message Event.
I guess the problem is with some configuration at Server level. Kindly let me know how to achieve this scenario.

I need to download a file from single stack using message id's.Correct me if i am wrong i tried using NWA->message monitor->database ...but i got"You do not have permission to view the message content"...

We are on PI 7.40 dual stack and I would like to use it as a single stack for all the interfaces except for ccBPM scnearios.
I have done the configuration (create RFC destinations on ECC (SM59)) as per the blog below.
Completed the configurations for an outbound proxy from ECC to JDBC scenario in ID using ICO.

When I trigger an outbound proxy message, I get the error "Error Parsing PI message" on SXMB_MONI of ECC.
Am I on the right track?

we had an PO System 7.4 SP 7 and tried to call a synchronous Interface on PI via an "automated Activity".
But we get the error
"Could not invoke service reference name 0a5b605b-fc7a-410f-920a-0f6952dee18f......
Error while sending message. Reason: Error sending MS message. Exception: HTTP call to IS unsupported in AEX case"
in the same process to call an asynchromous interface on PI is possible.
We also did build the Process and Product complete new in the NWDS, but no change.
Any Ideas ?

When I am trying to use the function "Display WSDL" I am receiving the following.
Error:
Selected communication channel HTTP_AAE_In_SAPII is assigned to the wrong adapter type HTTP_AAE Supported adapter types: HTTP, SOAP, XI, WS.

Can anybody help me to findout what are the standard roles a Pi developer would need in Java stack?
What are the generic roles available?
What are the display only roles?
How to know what roles we need to give when we create a user in PI java stack? (I know it depends on thier need or what action they perform)
But is there anyway to find list of roles for developer, Administrator?
I'm okay with ABAP stack but Java roles are bit confusing.

When we moved from SAP XI3.0 to SAP PI 7.1 One of the methodologies was a clean export / import method.
This allowed us to create a clean migration route between systems whilst still allowing for productive support for PI Interfaces.
We are now thinking of upgrading from PI 7.4 to PI 7.4
One of the issues i'm thinking about is that once the Development landscape is migrated from 7.1 to Version 7.4 we potentially won't have productive support and be able to move interfaces across the landscape.
I'm looking for two potential answers.
1 )If you have a development system running PO 7.4, can you still migrate interfaces across the landscape from Dev-QA-Prod..... I'm assuming not.
If the answer to one is negative, has anyone any experience of the upgrade paths from 7.1 to 7.4 and is the best method an Upgrade in place. Or a clean installation of a 7.4 system and the migration of the Interfaces via an Export / Import
I'm just investigating scenarios at the moment.

We are planning to get Application Interface Framework(AIF) licence for the Error Handling and Notification across our landscape.
Has anyone used AIF? Is there any issues/downside of using AIF anyone has ever encountered?
This is to make sure its a good choice as it has a separate licence cost.

I am web dynpro java (CE) developer and have already installed the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio(SAP NetWeaver 7.3 SP12 PAT0001) in my local machine. And now my leader wants me to open the PO objects in NWDS. But there is no PI related perspectives in the NWDS. While doing some investigations in the notes, one note indicates the version of PO must match NWDS's. Below is the version of PO Software Build Information:
Make Release NW731EXT_11_REL
SP Stack Number 11
JDK Version jdk16
Does anyone know how to open the PI perspective in the existing NWDS? Or I have to install another version of NWDS to connect to PI SLD? If so, what's the version (is it 7.31 sp11)? Appreciate your time and efforts on my questions.

Hello All,
I am configuring a Proxy (SAP) to HTTP_AAE (Third party) synchronous scenario with HTTPS URL . The third party receiver excepts the XML format and provided us the dtd for structure definition.
When I trigger a message for the interface, it fails with the following error at the receiver end.
"Unknown Host Exception"
I have already done following.
a. Changed the host name to IP address but the error persisted.
b. Ping to channel from PI is successful.
c. The third party receiver url works well in browser and returns the response with blank field values.
d. I tried using SOAP Receiver adapter with No SOAP envelope option but it fails with "Peer certificate rejected by chainverifier".
e. I tried to make the scenario asynchronous.
f. Although not an option here but I switched the https to http and it failed with a different reason. "Data is not repeatable"
Now I have following questions.
Q. 1 Does the error "Unknown host" ring any other bell ?
Q. 2 Is HTTP_AAE an option here at all??
Q. 2 Does the HTTP_AAE receiver adapter convert the XML payload into HTML format (Like with initial line, headers etc) or does it keep it in XML format only?

I posted this in PI forum but didn't get any response. I a working in PO 7.4, single stack.
ECC system sends emails to users. The end user may check the email from Outlook or even phone. The email contains two urls, both identical except for the third value.
URL one contains, host:port/value1/value2/A
URL two contains host:port/value1/value2/R
A for acceptance and R for reject
The end user clicks on one of those urls, it will call a webservice, updates the values in the webservice and then the values need to be sent to ECC. The webservice has to be created in PI. Value 1 and value 2 keep on changing.
The end user can be out of the PI landscape. How can I achieve this using Process Orchestration?

I am trying to develop a flow using NW BPM.
I have created a inbound Service interface in ESR which has external definition as message type. When I import it in BPM(using import WSDL option) , it created namespace and service interface within, which is perfect, but it did not create any data type under Data Types section.
My question is, how to create Data Objects artifact if service interface is developed using external definition.

i want to connect my PO system with a non-central Adapter engine. For the installation of the adapter engine i use the following option at SWPM:
At the post-installation i have a problem with the selection of the wizards. Following the guide at SAP Help Configuring the Non-Central Advanced Adapter Engine (PI-AF) for AEX - Configuring Process Integration After Installation…
i must take this wizard:
But the executation don't work and hangs in step 2. According to SAP Support is this a known error and i should do these configuration steps manaually.
After i did these steps, the AE is registered in SLD correctly. But i can't use or see the non-central AE in component monitor or in selection of communication channel in the Integratoin Builder. There is only the central engine visible.
Have anybody an idea what steps are missed in my configuration to use the AE in PO?
